He was born in Algiers and he received his diploma of Engineer in Supelec (France) in 1980 in Electrotechnique. He joined SONELEC in 1980 and after A company of Radio-Navigation since 2 years. He joined the Institute Algerian of Petroleum (IAP) in 1983 at 1987. He got his PHD Thesis in University of Nancy I in 1990 in the field of Automation. Abdel Aitouche was lecturer in Hautes Etudes d’Ingenieur de Lille, France (Graduate School of Engineering) since 1991 and Professor since 2009. ... He is Searcher at ”Laboratoire d’Automatique Genie Informatique et Signal de Lille ” since 1997 (associated with the CNRS, French National Center For Scientific Research). He is representative of IEEE CSS and RAS of many conferences and member of MCA (Mediterranean Control Society). Aitouche’s research interests’ concern fault tolerant systems (FTS), nonlinear control and fault tolerant control (FTC) and model based fault detection and diagnosis (FDD). Their application domains are mainly intelligent, embedded systems, process engineering, combustion engine, fuel cells and renewable energy (Wind, PV). He has published more than 150 publications. He was IPC member of many international conferences and recently he was program chair of MED’10, ICSC’12 and Invited session chair of MED’13.

Received the B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from Menoufia University, Egypt, in 2002 and 2007, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Laboratoire de recherche CRIStAL UMR 9189: Centre de Recherche en Informatique, Signal et Automatique de Lille, Universit´e des Sciences et Technologies de Lille, France, in 2013. ... He was a Researcher with University of Lille 1 and Institut Pascal/Innovative Mobility: Smart and Sustainable Solutions, UCA/SIGMA UMR CNRS 6602, Clermont-Ferrand, France from 2014 to 2017. He is currently Assistant Professor with the Ecole Centrale Nantes – LS2N, France. His current research interests include analysis and design of intelligent control systems such as fuzzy control, neuro fuzzy control, robust control, fault-tolerant systems, fault-tolerant control, model-based fault detection and diagnosis, energy management and battery life cycle analysis for electric mobility with their applications in transportation, process engineering, renewable energy and hybrid vehicle. He has authored/coauthored several publications in these areas.
